The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale held its annual reveal party on July 12, 2025. The party serves as the organization’s kick off to the next Mardi Gras season with the announcement of the new Queen, Grand Marshal, and parade theme. In 2026, the Femme Fatale parade rolls under the theme of “Femmes Just Want to Have Fun.”
For 2026, New Orleans artist Tahj Williams serves as the Femme’s Grand Marshal. Williams is best known for her work on the logo and theme art for Super Bowl LIX which was held in New Orleans in February 2025. Williams, known as “Queen Tahj,” in the Black Masking Indian community, is a member of the Young Eagles Tribe. In published reports, Femme Fatale founder Gwendolyn V. Rainey complemented Williams saying, “her artistry and leadership embody the essence and mission of Femme Fatale: strength, community and cultural pride.”
Reigning over the 2026 festivities will be Lisa Ballard Jackson. Jackson, a 1994 graduate of F.T. Nicholls High School in New Orleans, is currently the supervising commander of the D.A.R.E. program in St. Bernard Parish and has a long history of law enforcement experience in youth mentoring and community service.
Additionally, the krewe officially welcomed 353 new members to the Femme Fatale fold. According to the krewe, that means the ladies of Femme Fatale will celebrate Mardi Gras 2026 with 2,026 members. The parade is scheduled for February 8, 2026, at 11 a.m. on the Uptown route in New Orleans.
