The New Orleans City Council’s Government Affairs committee has released the agenda for the July 8th meeting which will focus on Mardi Gras related items. The agenda lists several discussion items and suggests that there will be as many as three pieces of legislation under consideration soon. An additional proposed ordinance will be up for discussion and vote. Calendar item 35,160 would repeal a one year old requirement that veterinarians certify horses in parades have been vaccinated for a variety of viruses. The meeting will take place in the City Council chambers on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
